A Henna Tea Party!

The Dallas Refugee Project, in partnership with the International Rescue Committee, recently celebrated its new Girl’s Group initiative by hosting a Henna Tea Party! The DRP provided henna while the IRC supplied three various teas hailing from different countries!

Celebrating women fellowship and bonding, the girls applied henna, drank various types of tea from India, Afghanistan and Kenya, and discussed their different cultures!

The henna tea party was the Girl’s Group’s first event of the year, and the DRP and IRC hope to continue hosting different activities to foster a better sense of community between the high school girls and help them feel more at home in Dallas!

A beautiful henna design by one of the girls!
