However, when the law is fundamentally skewed against the common good, a side must be chosen: “No one can serve two masters” (Matthew 6:24). The more refugees that we assist who are already in the U.S., the higher the chance that incoming refugees will get better quality care once they arrive. Most of us will never know the difficulties of migrating to another country; indeed, most of us will never experience such a drastic situation that we would consider migrating to another country.
